Remembrance Funds - A gift that keeps in giving A donation to charity in lieu of flowers is an important trend. The charity is chosen either because it was a favourite of the deceased or, in the case of death from a medical condition, so that others may benefit from research. However, there is often a feeling from friends and family that one donation isn't enough. They are looking for some other long term way of remembering their loved one. One possibility is to turn to philanthropy as a way of expressing your feelings. A Remembrance Fund can be set up in the name of your loved one. This will help your family and friends through the grieving process and make something good out of an otherwise sad, and sometimes, tragic, event. There is nothing that can fill the emptiness when someone close to you dies. But a Remembrance Fund gives you a chance to focus on a wonderful opportunity to pay a living and lasting memorial to the person you have lost. Contact Suzanne at thebrt@aol.com for more information about how you can go about setting up a Tribute Fund. |
