About news feeds

News feeds allow you to see when we have added new content to our news section.

Many web browsers support RSS feeds, saving the need for a separate piece of RSS reader software. In addition to the ease of use, RSS enabled browsers can detect relevant RSS feeds, adding them automatically if you wish to do so.

RSS reader applications work in the same way as RSS enabled browsers, but run on your PC or Mac as standalone software. If you prefer to read RSS feeds on the web, they can be adeed via many dashboard tools, such as Google Reader, Bloglines and My Yahoo!

Viewing and using RSS feeds

Step one

Download or sign-up to a news reader service. There are several free online RSS aggregators, such as Bloglines or Google reader , where you can sign up and bring your feeds together into one web page. Alternatively you can download a feed reader program such as Feedreader 3 or NewsFire (other RSS readers).

Step two
Click on the our news feed above. Then, either click on the online feedreader service you have signed up to or copy the feed address from the bottom of the box to paste into your chosen reader program. Your RSS feed reader should now automatically update our news.

Using our news feeds on your site

If you run your own website, you can make others aware of our charity by displaying the latest headlines from our websites on your own site using RSS.

If you use Brain Research Trust news on your site, we require that you attribute the Brain Research Trust.
