Remembering those we've lost

We are grateful to supporters like Jane Ward for giving to the BRT after having lost a loved one. They help ensure that scientists investigating life-threatening conditions have the money available to advance our understanding and hopefully find a cure.

Jane's story

Jane Ward lost her husband, Aubrey, to a brain tumour in 2006. Friends and family donated over £6,000 towards brain tumour research at the Institute of Neurology, hoping that something good could come out of their loss.

In Spring 2009, Jane arranged a disco and auction in memory of her husband. The night was a great success, raising £2,262 for the BRT and helping to keep the memory of Aubrey Ward alive.
